Pizza Hut Supporting the Red Cross

Several local Pizza Hut restaurants are supporting the Red Cross throughout the month of April. During the month, Pizza Hut will be offering a special meal deal, where a percentage of sales will go directly to the Red Cross. If you’d like to contribute to the cause but don’t want the special deal, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a “Heroes” point-of-sale poster for a minimum $1 donation. Grinding of the Greens Program

Now that Christmas is over, your Christmas Trees can have a second life through the Grinding of the Greens program.

Organizers with Keep the Midlands Beautiful help recycle the trees by grinding them down to mulch, which will be made available to the public for free in three weeks.

If you would like to donate your tree, organizers ask that you make sure to remove the tree from its stand and remove all ornaments and lights.

There are 16 drop-off locations in Lexington and Richland counties, and you can donate your tree until Jan. 13, 2012.

Bark to the Park 2012

Bark to the Park is right around the corner! Join Luna, Buddy, Penny and the rest of the SERVPRO team in raising money for our furry Midlands friends! It is only appropriate that we dedicate our April blog to the pets that love us unconditionally despite our crazy human antics. This week we will give you tips and fun projects to enjoy with your furry children.

 

Walk Begins: 10:30am

Bark to the Park: Walk and Festival for the Animals is one of Pawmetto Lifeline's largest fundraising efforts. It returns with exciting additions and changes. Bark to the Park now has a new time and a new walk route for 2012! Festival activities and walk registration will begin at 9:00am and the fun doesn't stop until 1:00pm. The one-mile walk begins at 10:30am where participating walkers and their pets will strut their stuff through downtown Columbia.

Join us for Bark to the Park 2012 and enjoy a fun-filled family day while helping support shelter pets across the Midlands. If you cannot be present on April 14th, you can still participate as a virtual walker! All proceeds benefit shelter pets in the Midlands. More than 18,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in just two area shelters each year. Help us help them by participating in the 2012 Bark to the Park Walk and Festival for the Animals.

Home & Garden Show

On Friday, March 9 through Sunday March 11, 2012 SERVPRO participated in the 46th Annual Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show at the SC State Fairgounds.

The largest home and garden exhibition in the Midlands, over 250 construction, home improvement, and outdoor product exhibits are displayed within and outside of the Cantey, Ellison, Moore, Ruff and Hampton Buildings. To say the least, it was a success!



We had a lot of fun chatting with everyone who visited our booth! Be sure to return next year!
